Mostly every gadget we use like a smartphone, or laptop is connected to a network that is the internet.

Basics of Networking

Before we start network hacking we should have a basic of networking. I have created a full series of networking blogs which you can see below. But below I have summarised a few points that will help you get started.

In the network, we have many people who access the internet every day like you and me. These people are called clients. They connect to the internet to get information which we call resources to access information. The best example of this resource is the internet.

There is a server which accepts these requests from clients and sends them the required information. In our homes, it is a router or an access point. This access point is the only device that has direct access to the resource i.e the internet.

In a network, the clients do not have direct access to the resources only the access point can access the resource directly.

When we search anything the request is send first from the client to the access point then to the resource then the resource send info to the access point then the access point sends it to the clients.

Only way we can access resource or the internet is to connect to a access point.

Network Hacking

The request and responses in a wireless network are sent through packets in the air. So by using specific techniques and skills that will be taught further you will be able to read and capture them without even being connected to the network.

In network hacking you will be able to see what are they searching for or which site they are visiting. We will also be able to analyse it and send some pre-connection attacks to our targets

Except for cracking section of the series you will not require the external adapter.

You may be wondering why the built-in card cannot be used ?

Now it is so because the built-in cart not provides things that the external wireless adapter provides like :

1. Monitor mode
2. Packer injection
3. Ap mode

Moreover, we will be using virtual machines which are not allowed to use all the hardware of your main system.

Now the brand which you choose for the external wifi adapter for network hacking is not important, but the chipset is important. You should only buy the following chipset external wifi adapter only.
